Grid-Scale Flow Battery Stack
The energy division of a Fortune 100 company needed additional bandwidth to develop their next generation grid-scale flow battery and came to us for engineering support.
We were given responsibility for the bipolar plate design, a component critical to the system operation and performance. Under our care we reduced pressure drop by >30%, improved fluid distribution, increased sealing reliability, and implemented better quality controls all while maintaining cost and manufacturability.
Low-Profile Handheld Ammeter
Our client, a tech startup, had successfully entered the market with thousands of their household energy consumption monitoring devices and were looking to expand their market. They identified that their user-operated ammeter was too large in many applications and required help designing a new sensor.
To start, we first established the the bounding form factor needed. From here we carefully designed the solution fitting in all the components without any excess space. With their team and suppliers, we delivered a production product that had 50% less volume than the original design.

kW-Scale Hydrogen Fuel Cell Stack
The development arm of an overseas company approached us looking for assistance in building a PEM fuel cell stack for transportation applications. While they had already begun exploration of the technology, they needed a partner with expertise in hardware.
The challenge here was reconciling the testing needs with an aggressive timeline. With close coordination with their team, we successfully designed a prototype that not only met those needs, but also reduced program risk through intelligent component and prototype consolidation.
